A Simple wall make-over!!

Hi everybody, greetings from 'Something Different'! After facebook, twitter, pinterest and instagram, 'Something Different' is happy and ready to venture into the world of blogging.

For the start, I have come up with a simple tutorial to give your room a quick and cute makeover with lil birdies. Get ready!!

Step 1: I love to play with the colours, so I am going to make bi-color birds in various combinations. Cut out the two basic parts (each of different colour) as shown in the image below. If you prefer, you can also make a bird shape cutout in a single colour.

Step 2: Now just stick those overlapped parts together.

And there you go! A cute, puffy bird is ready! Very Simple, isn't it?

Step 3: Make lots of such birds in different color combinations of your choice.

Step 4: Make a small hole near the neck of the bird with the help of sharp needle. Stacking a few bird cutouts together while making a hole would save some time!

Step 5: Next step is to thread each cutout. Pass a normal thread through hole and tie a knot or two near the neck point. Make sure your thread is considerably long, say of a foot-length or so. Also preferably choose the color of the thread such that it blends well with your wall color.

In this way, thread all the shapes and you are all ready for the final step.

Step 6: Now tie a loooooong thread horizontally on the wall to make a main branch to hang all birds to. I have used cello-tape here to do so. Then tie each of the birds to this main branch.

And tada!! Your wall hanging is ready!!! Doesn’t it look cute?? (My last year’s Christmas tree is giving it an additional special effect :P :D)

Well I hope you enjoyed this simple tutorial to give a quick makeover to your wall and add some colors to your room. You can customize it any way you wish. You can use butterflies, flowers or stars instead of birds. Anything you like!! J
